Essay: First-Time Parent: Things Nobody Told Me About Babies
Every new parent wishes that a baby came with a manual. Because babies differ, sometimes even advice from childcare gurus will not pinpoint the needs of your baby. As a new parent, one is bound to receive endless instructions, whether needed or not. Being a mother to a boy, I had my share of given wisdom and advice. Some were responses to my questions, and others were offered without my asking. Most advice focused on feeding and sleeping matters. Regardless of wisdom passed on to by my well-wishing acquaintances, there are things about babies that nobody mentioned.
