My memory of 2015 had its share of global happiness and sadness. Both emotions instigated writing prompts for me. On some occasions, I joined writing contests. The potential product/poem was my main driving force (not winning). Naturally, I joined a contest asking poets to submit a poem that’s about the year 2015 and get it made into a movie. I wrote a poem of hope regardless of grave realities the humanity witnessed in 2015.
The poem made it as a runner-up winner best poem. Fortunately, an offer to turn it into a movie meant for me an opportunity to further create.
